Getting the flu shot is more important this year than ever before.

With the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, we must use every tool available to protect ourselves, our families and our community.

The Berks County Commissioners have partnered with the Berks County Medical Society and local hospitals to help provide education and information about the flu vaccine this year. We can each do our part to help slow the spread of both COVID-19 and the flu by doing the following: Wearing masks, practicing social distancing, washing our hands and getting the flu shot.

Where to get the flu shot:

  • Penn State Health St. Joseph partnered with Latino Connection and Highmark to hold free flu shot pop-up clinics in Reading in October and November.

  • Tower Health will not be hosting community flu vaccination clinics due to COVID-19, but the flu vaccine is available at Tower Health Medical Group practices by appointment. Flu shots are also available at all Tower Health Urgent Care locations for free with Capital Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare insurances, no appointment necessary.
