Berks Cares Vaccine Center
The Berks Cares Vaccine Center was dedicated to helping all residents access the COVID-19 vaccine to protect themselves and strengthen our community. The Center offered first, second, and third doses, as well as booster shots.
The Berks Cares Vaccine Center was located in the North Reading Plaza at 5370 Allentown Pike in Muhlenberg Township, adjacent to the Walmart.
The Berks Cares Vaccine Center closed in May 2022.
The County of Berks formed a public health partnership with Penn State Health to reopen the Berks County Vaccine Center in October 2021 as third doses and booster shots became available.
The County of Berks provided the facility and assisted with promotions while Penn State Health supplied the vaccine and staffing resources and managedall site operations.
